Planned Giving

A planned gift is a meaningful way to ensure KRFC 88.9 FM remains strong for future listeners. You can include KRFC in your will or estate plan through a bequest, or by naming KRFC as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or other financial asset.

Naming KRFC as a beneficiary is simple. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your plan or policy administrator, or download the form from your provider’s website. Make your desired updates and return the form to establish your gift.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

For donors who have established donor-advised funds (DAFs) at community foundations or through investment brokerages, recommending a grant to KRFC can be a great way to support the programs you care about.

Giving through a Donor Advised Fund is an easy, meaningful way to support independent, community-powered radio. To make a gift, recommend a grant to KRFC 88.9 FM through your DAF provider. Gifts of Securities

KRFC 88.9 FM is happy to accept gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other securities. So you’re ready to make an impact on KRFC and have worked with your broker to figure out what securities to donate via electronic transfer. What’s next?

Please email the following to donations@krfcfm.org:

A description of the donated security
Number of shares
Gift purpose (How you would like the funds to be used)

Once you have this information, you can authorize your broker to transfer the securities to KRFC’s brokerage account. Please note that transfers may take 7–10 business days or more to process, so we recommend initiating the transfer before December 1st to ensure it qualifies for the current tax year.

Donate a Vehicle

Interested in donating your car, truck, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle to a non-profit organization like KRFC 88.9 FM?

Vehicles do not need to be in working condition to be donated. Vehicles for Charity will coordinate a convenient time to tow your vehicle. Once KRFC is notified of your donation, you will automatically become a member and we’ll reach out to offer a thank-you gift.

We partner with fellow non-profit 501(3)(c), Vehicles for Charity to arrange pickup of your vehicle. You can fill out the online form or call 1-866-628-CARS (1-866-628-2277). Our charity name is KRFC FM 88.9.

Please note that vehicle donations typically take 6–8 weeks to process, though it may take longer in some cases. If you haven’t received acknowledgement or member benefits, feel free to contact us at (970) 221-5075 (press “2” for memberships) or email donations@krfcfm.org.

In-Kind Donations

Items like CDs, vinyl records, and goods suitable for our annual spring auction are considered gifts of personal property and are tax deductible. We encourage creativity; almost anything can help support the mission of KRFC!

What is a sustaining memberhip?

Sustaining donors set up a recurring monthly or annual donation. Your sustaining membership provides consistent and predictable funding support to KRFC to ensure our financial stability. You can cancel or change your membership at any time.

How do I update my credit card information, personal information, change my recurring donation amount, or cancel my membership?

To make any changes to your membership, please call us at (970)-221-5075 and press “2” for memberships. You can also email us at donations@krfcfm.org.

Are donations tax-deductible?
