Local Public Affairs
While KRFC does air some nationally syndicated programs, we prefer to air locally produced shows that truly impact our community. We are open to talk shows, call–in shows, political shows, arts and cultural shows — the sky’s the limit.
An example of one of our locally produced PA shows is Homes on the Range. This show focuses on important information for home owners and building professionals; Xeriscaping, finding a remodeler, creative garage organization, energy efficiency and more. The hosts of Home on the Range invite listeners to call in on subjects ranging from finding out what “green building” is, to how to cater a great party or shop for a pool table.
We prefer that PA Shows are produced live, but will accept shows that are pre–recorded as long as there is a Programmer available to play the recording at the scheduled air time.
The Programming Committee has identified shows that KRFC would like to air. If you develop a show from the following list, it will get priority placement:
- Latino Community Show
- Cultural diversity (not racially specific)
- Government Show – a moderated show that spotlights: police, elected officials, neighborhood relations, city council, citizen behavior
- Media round table
- Environmental show
- Business show – CSU, patents, entrepreneurs
- Family Issues Show
- Interview Show – Choice City Voices, movers, shakers, and candlestick makers, nominate people to be interviewed
- Gardening Show
- Food, Nutrition and health show, cooking show
- Farming/ Ranching
- Arts – Reviews
- Paranormal Show
