	<itunes:subtitle>KRFC&apos;s Live @ Lunch Podcast</itunes:subtitle>
	<itunes:summary> Live @ Lunch is a daily showcase of live music. The show airs weekdays from noon to 1:00 and features local and touring musicians from diverse musical styles. Live @ Lunch is 100% LIVE and contains no prerecorded interviews and no second takes! The podcast, of course, is not quite as live as the broadcast, but what it lacks in &quot;live-ness&quot; it makes up for in versatility.</itunes:summary>

	<title> Live@Lunch with Peace &amp; Love &amp; Jigs &amp; Reels</title>
	<description> www.pljr.com Peace and Love and Jigs and Reels brings you Celtic music on Irish flute, whistles, alto flute, guitar, bodhran and Afro Irish drums all with contagious energy, whimsy and tenderness. As a duo, Gregg Hansen and Cynthia Jaffe have been heard at major festivals throughout Colorado, including the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival, Gaelic Highland Festival, Crestone Music Festival, the Festival of the Mabon, and Swallow Hill Folk Festival. Now as a trio joined by Steve Wharton on bodhran, the energy is even higher. From soulful slow airs to spirited arrangements of traditional and original tunes...not to mention Celtic Beatles...your heart will have a brilliant trip, as the Irish say.</description>

	<itunes:subtitle>Live @ Lunch 11-20-09</itunes:subtitle>
	<itunes:summary>Tom Kimmel is one of those unique singer-songwriters whose heartfelt artistry with words and music is both genre-crossing and timeless. Since 1980, when his songs were recorded by Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman (of Byrds fame) and Levon Helm (of The Band), dozens of his compositions have been covered by a host of major artists including Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Joe Cocker, Shawn Colvin, Waylon Jennings, the Stray Cats, Randy Travis and the Spinners. Tom&apos;s unique ability to write songs that connect stems from his lifelong career as a touring performer. Once an eclectic rock and roller, Tom found his voice as a singer-songwriter while opening Nanci Griffith&apos;s 1991-92 world tour. A New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1993, he began performing as a solo act, stressing a lean, acoustic-centered approach to his music and bringing a poignant and humorous spirit to his poetry and storytelling. Tom&apos;s peers have joined critics in commending the Alabama native&apos;s unadorned stylings as uniquely soulful. Irish songstress Maura O&apos;Connell, who has recorded haunting versions of Tom&apos;s The Blue Train and Poetic Justice, says, &quot;Tom is an incredible songwriter... And he seems to be getting better as the years go on.&quot; Crow Johnson, former ZMN publisher, calls Tom a &quot;singer&apos;s singer, writer&apos;s writer.&quot; And according to The Nashville Scene, &quot;Tom Kimmel&apos;s moody textured songwriting reaches into soulful realms that few Music Row pros enter.&quot; After releasing two critically praised major label albums (in 1987 and 1990), Tom made his first independent album in 1994. Bones, a collection of live recordings, was followed by Short Stories, which featured guest performances by Emmylou Harris, The Fairfield Four, Gillian Welch, Jerry Douglas and other friends. Shallow Water, released in 2002, is a collection of spirit-infused songs and hymns, and Light of Day features vibrant, spare voice-and-guitar recordings written and produced by Tom in his home studio. A volume of poetry, The Sweetest and the Meanest, was published in 2005, and Never Saw Blue, an anthology of his songs featured in film and television, arrived in the fall of 2008. Featured in motion pictures such as Runaway Bride, Serendipity, and Twins, and in television shows as varied as Captain Kangaroo, Miami Vice and Touched By An Angel, recordings of Tom&apos;s compositions have sold millions of copies around the world, achieving gold and platinum sales in many countries.

	<itunes:summary>www.sarahsample.com, www.pauljacobsen.com, www.athertonmusic.com Bios: Paul Jacobsen: Paul Jacobsen has had a good couple years. With his band, The Madison Arm, he&apos;s toured the west and played shows with Sara Watkins, Ellis Paul, WPA, Erin McKeown, Bowerbirds, Great Lake Swimmers, and more. Solo, he&apos;s been a finalist in both the Telluride Bluegrass Troubadour and Folks Fest Songwriter contests and sang onstage with Sam Bush. His latest album, Paul Jacobsen and The Madison Arm, recorded over a couple of years in basements, a Montana cabin, a Brooklyn living room, and a couple bona fide studios, has garnered critical praise:
&quot;.. a straight-ahead winner of an album, full of fine songs, including such highlights as the sad, majestic &apos;Time,&apos; as well as &apos;The World Unkind&apos; &apos;Stupid Little Things&apos; and &apos;Anything Pecked to Death Will Die.&apos; Drawing upon strong lyrics and gorgeous backup vocals...The Madison Arm has made an album deserving of a larger audience.&quot; -Scott Murphy, Salt Lake Tribune &quot;They said it would be epic. And it was. It was epic.&quot; - Erin McKeown --------------------------------- Ryan Tanner: Ryan is the lead singer/songwriter for the band Atherton. &quot;Skyline Motel (last album) is an apt title for such a sparse, dreamy, smooth and distinctly Western album. These spare songs of love and roaming clearly originated in the desert, not east of the Mississippi in the green avenues of Nashville or Memphis. Atherton certainly channels alt-country giants Ryan Adams and Wilco, butas with most truly great recordsthe more you listen to Skyline Motel, the more you realize Atherton&apos;s sedate songs hail from a slightly different metaphysical region. A seldom-traversed spot on the alt-country map which produces music much less jagged, desolate and achy than the songs of Ryan Adams and Wilco, and much more serene, collected and comfortably remote. Atherton&apos;s sweet cup of perfectly brewed coffee or Ryan Adams and Wilco&apos;s bitter tumbler of whiskey: Take your pick. -------------------------------- Sarah Sample: Salt Lake City Weekly called Born to Fly &quot;her best effort to date. Sample&apos;s raw, graceful voice is stronger and more self-assured, enhancing lyrical content that cuts to the bone.&quot;
&quot;It&apos;s the same feeling I got when I first heard Sarah Mclachlan or Natalie Merchant. I knew was listening to a singer filled with confident clarity. I knew I was listening to a singer that can make big things happen with a whisper, and do it all to material that was provocative, clearly crafted, and smart. Thanks, Sarah. It&apos;s great when friends become heroes.&quot; by Vance Gillbert

	<itunes:summary>The Grippe is an old British slang meaning sickness, and this illness symptoms are making people boogie. Exploding onto the Colorado music scene in 2007, The Grippe is an organ trio fusing funk, jazz, neo-soul, and blues into one original mix of tunes. Infectious grooves, talented players, and a blend of classic and modern sounds comprise the sound of The Grip. Their music is always groovy and full of funk to dance to, but also keeps a close tie to jazz and blues intellectual roots. The Grippr is made up of two accomplished Fort Collins musicians and one sensational newcomer. Charlie Humphreys (guitar) formerly played with local blues rock favorites Holy Moses and the High Rollers and recorded an album to high acclaim. Stu Crair (drums) toured nationally with the highly respected progressive rock band Orooni, and also formed the Hugh: Jazz Combo which continues to play in a weekly jazz residency. Newcomer Walter Hannah (organ, keys) came to the band via Portland where he recorded with The Parallel Trio and pushes the sound of The Grip by playing with his unique style and phrasing. The members of the Grip have played over 500 shows collectively, including major music festivals like Wakarusa and 10,000 Lakes Festival, and have toured from coast to coast. Their musical influences range from Mike Stern to Soulive; from the Grateful Dead to Frank Zappa. After forming in late 2007, The Grippe has already been named as the January 08 house band for Hodis Half Note in Fort Collins with more offers continually being received. Their infectious music will soon be heard all across the Northern Colorado Front Range and beyond with no end in sight for how far the epidemic might spread. http://www.thegripfunk.com

	<itunes:summary>Indie Rock Website: http://viennateng.com Bio: By the time San Francisco-based singer/songwriter/pianist Vienna Teng quit her full-time software engineering job at Cisco Systems, she had signed with independent label Virt Records and was preparing for her debut release, Waking Hour. Just a few short months later, she was featured on NPRs Weekend Edition, made her network television debut on the Late show with David Letterman, and was followed around by a camera crew from CNN for a prime-time profile. She was soon opening for artists such as Shawn Colvin and Joan Osborne and had her song, &quot;The Tower,&quot; used in the NBC prime-time series &quot;Ed.&quot; Her days are now filled with interviews and sold-out performances. Needless to say, it has been an abrupt shift from her cubicle days. But in truth, the jump from code warrior to full-time musician had been a long time coming. Vienna began taking piano lessons at age 5, studying classical composers like Bach and Chopin. Far from being pressured into studying music, however, Vienna asked for piano lessons on her own. While she delved fully into classical works, she was drawn more to the act of improvisation, and in expressing the ideas that were emerging in her own imagination. She wrote her first song at age 6, and had an albums worth of instrumentals composed by age 16. The evolution from hobby to full-time job happened gradually, as an appreciative audience began forming around the music she created while attending Stanford University, where she graduated in 2000 with a degree in Computer Science. Her first &quot;concerts&quot; were impromptu events, consisting of curious students gathering around the dorm lounge piano as she played and sang. They started to recognize her songs - and to request them. Bootleg tapes and MP3s of rough recordings circulated around campus. People started asking when the CD was coming out, which led Vienna to record Waking Hour when she wasn&apos;t attending class or studying.Vienna&apos;s note about Alex &quot; I met Alex Wong (co-producer, percussion, guitar, vocals) in 2002 when his duo (The Animators) played one song at a Just Plain Folks open mic. After years of guest appearances in each other&apos;s bands, we started playing live together in 2007, which led to producing Inland Territory together in 2008. The Paper Raincoat, Alex&apos;s project with Amber Rubarth, releases their debut album this fall. He&apos;s also producing albums for Ari Hest and Alex Berger.&quot; Find out more about Alex at www.myspace.com/highceilingsmusic or myspace.com/thepaperraincoat
